This awesome car drove in the Liberation Day parade on Wednesday.

Liberation Day - May 5, 2010

Here is a peak at our Liberation Day festivities. We were in a parade which drove thru 10 miles of rural Holland. The weather was beautiful, the spirits were high and everyone was having a great time!











Boys will be girls.

Yesterday, May 4th, was Memorial Day in Holland. At 8:00pm everyone in the country observes 2 minutes of silence in remembrance of those who gave up their lives for our freedom. Today is Liberation Day (picture follows tomorrow).

If I were Hansel or Gretel
I would be enchanted by this house
I would knock on the door
and hope for the wonderment of sweetness and chocolates.
The springtime flowers enrich the fantasy.

THEN I would lie in the ferns and relax
with my eyes closed and dream kitty dreams.

This mermaid is located in the fairy tale section of the Efteling theme park. It struck me because in the United States this statue would be considered obscene and would never be allowed in a children's park. I think it looks natural and is certainly not indecent.
